PETG Core Layer For Plastic Card

The structure of PETG card is usually composed of multiple layers of composite materials  to meet different applications (such as printing, durability, and processing requirements).The standard thickness of whole card is 0.76mm. We could customize the thickness according to different layers.

 

 

Material: PETG  overlay or transparent coating.

Function: Provides scratch resistance, anti-stain, and UV protection.

Features: Highly transparent and smooth surface, designed to encapsulate and protect printed content.

 

 

Material: PETG overlay or specially coated PETG.

Function: Serves as the carrier for printed text and images.

Features: Typically surface-treated (e.g., corona treatment or coating) to improve ink adhesion.

Note: In cases of interlayer printing, this layer might be covered by other layers

 

 

Material: White PETG core layer.

Function: PETG core layer for plastic card provides the primary thickness and structural strength of the card.

Features: This layer Can be made from white or opaque material for high-contrast printing.

 

 

Material: PETG overlay 

Function: Provides support and processing stability for the card.

Note: Sometimes symmetrical with the protective layer, used for back-side printing or processing.
