Understanding insulation and flame retardant PC film.

Insulation and flame-retardant PC film is a kind of high-performance plastic film and sheet material made from polycarbonate (Polycarbonate, PC) as the main raw material and processed through special flame-retardant modification. Polycarbonate is a non-crystalline thermoplastic resin, which is widely recognized for its excellent electrical insulation, ductility, stability, chemical corrosion resistance, and high temperature resistance (the working temperature range is usually -40°C to 135°C).

In order to preserve the original superior qualities of PC, flame retardants are added or specific flame retardant technologies are adopted to create the insulating and flame-retardant PC film. It greatly improves the material's safety performance by having the capacity to stop flames from spreading, inhibit combustion, or swiftly put out a fire after the fire source has been removed. The insulating and flame-retardant PC film is extensively used in the automobile, electronic appliance, and new energy battery industries because of its superior electrical insulation and flame-retardant qualities.
