Polycarbonate (PC) overlay film is super durable, with great heat resistance, smooth printing and lamination, and consistent color and size. It also supports various anti-counterfeiting features and is eco-friendly.
Designed specifically for tamper-proof and durable applications, it is suitable for high-security printing such as ID cards,driver's licenses, and passports. It features anti-tearing, impact resistance and chemical corrosion resistance, and can resist physical damage and forgery. With excellent optical transparency, it supports the precise presentation of microtexts, UV elements and laser-engraved data, and is compatible with heat transfer printing/dye sublimation technology, ensuring the image remains clear and durable.


Polycarbonate cards are a big step up regarding security for plastic ID cards. The key is that the ID data is embedded directly into the card, so it's tough to tamper with. Unlike the regular desktop ribbon printers that have been used for the past 20 years (easily accessible), counterfeiters don't have access to the specialized tools and engravers needed for high-security cards.
